The Food and Nutrition Service continues to advance Eat Smart. Play Hard., the national nutrition education promotion campaign. Recent work includes the Environmental Scan and Audience Analysis, a 69-page document that presents research methods, research conducted, key findings, strategies for audience segmentation, major implications, and recommendations for next steps in the Eat Smart. Play Hard. campaign. The document will assist FNS in further refining the campaign and support the development of other projects aimed at this population. It also presents information on the "tween" (8-12 year old) audience that might be useful for any nutrition educator working with this age group.
