This professional quality video offers an overview of MyPlate and the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for people who are new to the topics. It offers plain language, easy-to-understand graphics, and moderately-paced editing, in a time length that will keep the audienceís attention (30 minutes). It successfully explains the concepts of MyPlate and the 2010 Dietary Guidelines, which makes it a helpful tool to use with any teenage, adult, or older adult audience. The video may be used with low income audiences and features a variety of affordable foods.

On the Learning Seed Web site, there is a preview of the video and a 14-page Educatorís Resource Guide available. You must register for a free online account and log in to access these materials. The guide offers before and after viewing activities, examples of discussion questions, a glossary and additional resources.
