|Reviewers Comments: ||This is a great resource for SNAP participants and others who are struggling to make ends meet. The handout is filled with helpful advice and worthwhile tips on how to save money on food. Writing is action oriented, and the recommendations are easy to understand and implement. This handout may be used on its own, or as part of a larger session on eating on a budget.
The handout is available for free online as a PDF or can be viewed within the web browser (HTML). Printed copies are available for purchase. Both versions include the same text and the same witty cartoon illustrations. While there is a lot of good advice included, the PDF version appears a little busy and could benefit from additional white space. A larger font size would be appropriate for some audiences. The HTML version is well organized and easy to read and navigate due to helpful internal navigation buttons. At the end of both versions, the resource includes some state specific information and resources; however, the information can easily be tailored for use in another state.
