There are six words to unscramble either related to whole grains, or sources of whole grains. Under each scrambled word is a description of the word, and how it is eaten or why it is important. This activity would not be useful as a stand alone teaching tool. It may be used as homework or reinforcement after a lesson. The unscramble can be made more difficult by not including the description under each word. Then after the activity is complete, each word and its relevance can be reviewed. This activity is moderately easy and can be used with children in grades three and higher and some adults. An answer sheet is included. |
