The questions ask the children to circle the better of two food or activity choices. Questions are accompanied by large pictures illustrating the two options. These clipart cartoons are appealing and age appropriate, however they do not show cultural sensitivity. The font is large and the layout is uncomplicated, making the survey easier for slower readers to complete. Some children may require the survey to be read to them. The survey may be used to evaluate nutrition knowledge among young children either at baseline, after completing a nutrition class or series, or both. |
